Scott is no stranger to a challenge, this 36-year-old firefighter from Devon already has a couple of world records under his belt including being the first person to singlehandedly row across the Black Sea. He’s also completed the grueling Marathon Des Sable and a whole host of other achievements, oh and even a book or two to his name. Scott’s motto is:
‘I’m up for the ride that we call life and dammit I want it to be a good one!’
Raising funds for Crohn’s and Colitis UK, Scott and brother Tom will embark on their mammoth 422-mile journey later this year. They’ve been practising hard and putting the Razor A5 Air through its paces and we’ll be catching up with them as they prepare for their big expedition. Watch this space for more news on their Big Italian Scoot or, as our Italian colleagues would say…grande scoot italiano!

Last weekend we attended Flame and Thunder, a massive UK event attracting plenty of petrol heads and their kids. Featuring some of the world’s most exciting vehicles from rocket cars to monster trucks and more, the day was a petrol-head’s dream.
Our Razor team had a fantastic time right at the heart of the action, giving visitors the chance to experience some of the brand’s most innovative new rides this year, as well as the ever popular Crazy Cart.
Among the rides to try were new Crazy Cart edition, the Crazy Cart Shift, RipStik Electric and the incredible new HoverTrax 2.0 ‘hover board’. Riders were certainly spoilt for choice and with every rider making a donation to local charity, KidsAid, the activity also raised hundreds of pounds that will assist the charity in providing therapeutic support for children and young people who suffered any form of trauma.
This is the 3rd year of attending Flame and Thunder, and we love attending the event. There is a huge amount of love among the show’s visitors for the Razor brand and always among them some utterly fantastic riders. To be able to raise funds for a really worthwhile cause too is the icing on the cake.
This weekend Razor were at the Supercar Event held at the Top Gear test track in Dunsfold, Surrey. Showcasing our fleet of Crazy Carts, many kids and adults took the opportunity to show off their drifting skills at the Razor Crazy Cart test track. The event was in aid of the Children’s Charity Trust supporting children with brain injuries. A small donation to the charity meant you could burn rubber in a Crazy Cart for 3 minutes on the test track.
There was also an exclusive first peek at Lil’ Crazy which is launching in the UK next month. This fun-fuelled electric drifting cart has been designed for children aged 3+ years.
The Razor Crazy Cart added yet another celebrity name to its contact book recently when it appeared at the Damon Hill Charity Karting Challenge. The Le Mans style karting marathon, held at Sandown Park’s Daytona track, aimed to raise funds for Halow Project, a charity supported by the former F1 champ and dedicated to nurturing independence in young adults with learning disabilities. Teams of wannabe track stars attended to take part in a Le Mans style karting marathon. Alex Lynn, development driver in the Williams F1 team, provided a powerful demonstration of the Crazy Cart before the crowd of motoring enthusiasts and a Damon Hill signed Crazy Cart was offered as first prize in the raffle which will also continue to be showcased throughout this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
During the event, motorsports legend, Damon Hill, also got behind the wheel of Re:creation’s Michael Lehrter’s supercar and took a lap of the track as ‘pace car’ showcasing the #riderazor branding. Soon after, it was the Chief Executive’s turn to put Hill through his paces as he offered the star a lesson in Crazy Cart riding.
“It’s something we’ve all dreamt of doing: sneaking into a toy store and going nuts all night with the treasures therein. While most of us don’t get to live out that dream, the guys at Xcar have done just that.
For its latest video, the British automotive video crew haven’t reviewed anything or gone to any exotic locale. (Unless you consider a giant toy store to be “exotic,” which the child within us probably would.) Instead they hid out in a Toys R Us until after closing time, then popped out and went nuts with every toy they could desire – especially Razor’s Crazy Cart XL. It’s just like the one they did in their office late last year, only better. And by that, we mean with more toys. And sugar.” http://www.autoblog.com/2015/05/05/xcar-crazy-carts-toys-r-us-video/
